At Stepping Stones Amersham, we operate for 44 weeks each year, providing a consistent, nurturing environment where children can thrive. Our nursery closes for four weeks in August, two weeks at Christmas, and two weeks at Easter — giving our staff time for training and planning, and families a well-deserved break. This ensures that when children return, they experience a fresh, engaging term full of learning, fun, and development. We ask for a minimum attendance of 18 hours per week to ensure each child gains the full benefit of our carefully planned curriculum and consistent routines.
Our fees are based on 44 operational weeks per year and are divided into eleven equal monthly payments, with no payment due in August. This simple structure helps spread costs evenly throughout the year. Please note that monthly fees include bank holidays and public holidays, even when the nursery is closed, as our staffing and operational costs remain consistent.
Government-funded hours are provided over 38 term-time weeks. As we operate for 44 weeks, these funded hours are stretched evenly across the year to ensure smooth and continuous support for your child.
